Multi-Sensory Play and Education Center
Play Street is an indoor and outdoor multi-sensory play and education center for children. Our space is specially curated and designed by informed moms of children with disabilities and specific sensory needs. Our space is where children can experience a low-sensory play environment with specially designed play equipment, learning tools, and activities that empower and aid children to interact and engage with their environment. Our “Blue Room” is our enclosed Multi-Sensory Environment, and our “Orange Room” is our Maker’s space. We also have a parent café and kitchen and a fenced backyard play space.
A focus on Open Play. Play Street is designed for children who need a more predictable and low-stimulating environment. This means we implement a 90-minute schedule for our open play sessions to promote comfort and sensory regulation for up to 8 children (12 during evening hours).
- All participating families are encouraged to come at the beginning of the play session so they can enjoy their full time here.
- All families will be expected to leave at the end of their play session so more families can come and enjoy this unique and tailored sensory experience.
- We use visual and auditory timers to let families know when there are ten- and five-minutes left of play.
We encourage families to make reservations for open play. We do accept unscheduled drop-ins, but we recommend you call (707) 798-1093 before your visit to see if we have room.
